Registration of a temporary residence permit

States with visa procedure

If you are a citizen of the country with visa entry procedures, you should arrive in Ukraine with a D-type visa, issued by the Consulate of Ukraine in their homeland on the basis of an invitation for study. Within five working days upon arrival to the University, you should provide the Organizational Department with your passport and all the documents needed for the registration of a temporary residence permit in Ukraine.

Foreigners who arrived in Ukraine for study purposes and received a temporary residence permit are considered to be legally residing in Ukraine for a period of study.

To obtain a temporary residence permit (hereinafter posvidka) in Ukraine, you should submit it to the Organizational Department of the Preparatory Department (36, Vasylkivska Str., room 98):

To get a registration (placing a stamp of a residence on the Lomonosov Street 39), you should write an application for being accomodated, sign a residence agreement in the hostel No13 and pay the cost of living (960 UAH per month).

In case of ejectment from the hostel for further residence in a private apartment, you should write a certain application and sign a bypass sheet.

In case of loss or invalidity of using a posvidka, you are obliged to inform the Organizational department immediately for the subsequent registration of a new posvidka.

In case of receiving a new passport or change of surname (name, patronymic), you should apply to the Organizational department for making changes to the registration documents.

In case of expulsion from the University or the expiration of the validity of the temporary residence permit, you should return your posvidka to the Organizational department within seven days and leave Ukraine.

The non-returned temporary residence permit is considered invalid.

You will not violate the rules if you stay in Ukraine for no more than 90 days within this 180-day period.
